John DEAKIN (1821)

John DAKIN (also spelt DEAKIN) and his twin sister, Mary, was born in Heaton Norris, Lancashire on 1 May 1821. He was the son of George DEAKIN and Rachael DEAKIN (née GRIMSHAW). John was baptised on 29 July 1821 at St Thomas’s Church, Heaton Norris.

By 1834, the family had moved into the centre of Stockport . In the 1841 Census, the family are recorded as living on New Bridge Lane, Stockport, Cheshire:

John married Mary (UNKNOWN) in 1843. His daughter, Hannah Deakin born at Newbridge Lane, Stockport, on 21 July 1841 was baptised on 29 August 1841. Hannah is recorded in the 1851 as living with her great grandfather, George Deakin in Buxton, Derbyshire, employed as a servant.
